How brave Muslims are being silenced | Nick Cohen
I am a Muslim too, ya know. Am I racist for saying something about my own religion and the culture of my religion that people don’t like to hear? I was born a Muslim. I was raised as a Muslim. I was schooled by Islam 7 days per week at least 4 hours per day. Praying 5 times a day was not an option. Wearing the hijab was not an option but obligatory when you have been schooled and taught that it is a big no-no to show your aurat outside. Everybody knows that. When I make fun of myself being in this religion of birth by default, my identity by default, am I still racist though?
